October's meeting was at Amber's home.

Amber started out our meeting by having her little daughter meet us at the front door with a basket to collect our Halloween fat squares.  Lacey was thrilled to be the winner this time!

Amber served us a yummy apple cake with a carmel sauce, chocolate truffles and mango salsa and chips.

She also treated us to a drawing for some of the quilt patterns that she has designed.  Everyone was thrilled and we all went home one pattern or another that she has either designed or used to make a quilt.  We enjoyed a tour of her new quilting room.  It's always fun to see where an artist works and to see the rooms her family enjoys that are adorned with her quilts. She unfolded every quilt she owns so we could see what she has made.  What a treat for us and what a job for her the next day!

We're still trying to put our block ideas together for next year's quilt.  We hope we can finally pick the blocks on November 2 when we meet for our work meeting.  Time change: 10:00 AM and we'll let you know where it will be held in an email.  After we choose the blocks, we'll let everyone know how much fabric they need to purchase for the new year's project.

We will continue to meet at 7PM for our monthly meetings but we will begin with a work meeting and start our business meeting and sharing at 8:30.  We have a couple of people who can't make it until  a little later and we want everyone to be able to come.  November's meeting will be at Barbara's.

We missed all of you who couldn't make it!    Plan on being with with us November 2 and 16th!!!
